Privacy policy

The short version

Simple Quote is built so your business data belongs to you. Your price list, business details and quotes are stored on your own device, in your browser. Site photos are used once to help draft a quote and are then discarded — they are never saved or shared. We do not run advertising, we do not sell data, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What information the app handles

• Business details — the name and trade you enter when you first open the app, so your quotes carry your branding.
• Your price list — the items and rates you keep on the Prices page.
• Quotes — the titles, descriptions, line items, totals and statuses you create.
• Site photos and notes — up to three photos and a short note per quote, used only to draft the description.

Where your data lives

Your price list, business details, chosen trade and saved quotes are stored in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. They are not uploaded to our servers. This means clearing your browser data, or switching to a different phone or browser, starts you fresh — your quotes do not follow you between devices.

How photos are used

When you tap Draft, the photos and note for that quote are sent once, over an encrypted connection, to the AI drafting service so it can describe the job and suggest line items. The photos are used only to write that draft and are not retained afterwards. We deliberately do not store customers' property photos — keeping them would be a liability for you and for us.

What the AI drafting service sees

To write a draft, the AI service receives the photos and note you added for that quote, plus the names and prices on your price list so it can suggest matching items. It does not receive your business name, your customer details, or any of your other quotes. Drafts are generated on request and not used to train models for other customers.

Sending quotes

When you tap Send, your quote opens in your own email app as a pre-written message. The email is sent by you, from your address, through your email provider — Simple Quote never sends email on your behalf and never sees your customer's email address. Copy and PDF work entirely on your device.

What we do not collect

• No account or password — there is nothing to log into.
• No analytics or tracking cookies.
• No advertising identifiers.
• No customer contact lists or address books.
• No location tracking.

Your choices

You can edit or delete any quote at any time from the Quotes page. To remove everything, clear the app's storage in your browser settings (or remove the app from your home screen and clear site data) — because data lives on your device, that removes it completely.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled — for example, if a future version adds accounts or cloud sync — this page will be updated before the change ships, and anything new will be off by default until you choose it.
